Chair
Weston Clark - Weston Clark is the current Chair of the Salt Lake County Democratic Party.  His Party involvement started when he moved back to Utah with his partner after a one year stint in Washington DC and began volunteering full time for the State Democratic Party under Donald Dunn.  After leaving the Party to go teach high school he was asked to serve on the Executive committee of the County Party by Chairwoman, Megan Risbon.  The following year he ran for 1st Vice Chair, and then Chair a year later.  He currently is a graduate student at the University of Utah’s City and Metropolitan Planning Department and thrilled to continue the successes of the Salt Lake County Democratic Party.

1st Vice Chair
Justin Miller - Justin Miller is a resident of Salt Lake City with his wife, Eve, and has been active in politics for over a decade.  In addition to currently serving as the 1st Vice Chair of the Salt Lake County Democrats, Justin has served in numerous positions, most recently as the 2008 Convention Chair and as Campaign Manager for the successful Jani Iwamoto for County Council Campaign.

Justin is pleased with the gains of the Salt Lake County Democrats in the 2008 Election, including Obama wining Salt Lake County, and would like to see more emphasis placed on precinct organizing and training.

When elected, Curtis will work hard to make sure the county party plays offense in elections and places a focus on building the party for the future as well as today.

Rob Skraznas - I am Rob Skraznas and I am introducing myself as a candidate for 2nd Vice Chair.  I have continuously served the Utah Democratic Party as a delegate, precinct chair and campaign volunteer since 1972. As Platform Committee Chair I will be a voice for an electable progressive platform that our candidates will be proud to stand on.

Jared has also been an advisor for other democratic state representative campaigns. Jared currently works for a local non-profit who assists adults with disabilities find meaningful employment.

Laura Arellano - I started my political community involvement as a delegate. When I caught myself venting in frustration, I knew I didn’t want to be one of those people who just complain and don’t DO anything!

From there I branched out and have logged a long list of accomplishments (Drinking Liberally SLC Host, Utah Women’s Democratic Club Board Member, Democratic Women’s Caucus, District 51 Legislative Chair, Precinct 4696 Delegate, volunteer on Campaigns and Democratic Party events…this list can go on).

My agenda is to serve.

What I bring is my experience and an agenda of support to reposition our party through the reframing of our messages, externally as well as internally within party (it’s what I do as a profession) in ways that support our hard work and core ethics.

Breanne Miller - Breanne Miller has been involved in Democratic politics since first moving to Utah in August of 2003. Breanne has served as the President of the University of Utah’s College Democrats and on the Executive Board of the Young Democrats of Utah for 5 years as its National Committeewoman and Secretary. She has also volunteered on numerous campaigns for Democrats at every level. As well, Breanne interned with Representative Biskupski and for the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid. She looks forward to the opportunity to continue and increase her involvement with the Salt Lake County Democratic Party and to meeting more Democrats throughout this process.

Sheryl is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Through this profession Sheryl has been an advocate for minority groups and the disadvantaged.

Treasurer
Alan C. Anderson - As a lifelong Democrat having voted my first time for George McGovern for President, I have not been overly active with the inner workings of the party. In the past ten years, I have been involved with some local campaigns, but this past year I was elected Leg Chair for District 45 (Midvale, Sandy, Cottonwood Heights).

I am a graduate of Wayne State College, Wayne, NE with a degree in Mathematics and Business. I have been employed with Central Bonds & Insurance for 24 years and part of my duties are handling the company finances dealing with payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
