County Council 4 Nominee

The Salt Lake County Democratic Party has a candidate vacancy in Salt Lake County Council District 4. 

In accordance with state law, Councilwoman Granato's appointment will last until a special election this November, concurrent with the general election, with the winner of that special election completing the remainder of the term through 2020. Because of the timing of the original vacancy, state law mandates that the candidates for this special election be chosen by the parties' Central Committees, in accordance with their constitutions and bylaws. 

Upon further review and consultation with the State of Utah Elections Office the Salt Lake County Democratic Party’s Central Committee will select and certify a candidate on June 27th as outlined in Utah State Code (20A-1-506). At 6pm. Place TBD.

HD 51 Nominee

SLCounty Dems have a candidate vacancy in House District 51. 

The nominee will be chosen by the Salt Lake County Democratic Party's Central Committee members who reside within HD 51. 

We will be following those procedures of the Utah Democratic Party Bylaws Article IV, Section 3, part iii:

Upon further review and consultation with the State of Utah Elections Office the Salt Lake County Democratic Party’s Central Committee will select and certify a candidate on June 27th. At 6pm. Place TBD.
