2019 Municipal Primary: Tuesday, August 13th
Vote by Mail
This election will be conducted by vote-by-mail, with all registered voters in Salt Lake County receiving a ballot in the mail. These ballots can be returned in the following ways:
Mailed: Ballots must be postmarked by August 12th in order to be counted.
Returned to a drop box: Drop boxes can be found across Salt Lake County, click here for a full list.
Other Ways to Vote
If you do not return your ballot in time, do not receive a ballot in the mail, or still need to register to vote you can do all of these things at a polling location.
All eligible voters may vote in the County Clerk’s Office (County Government Center, 2001 South State Street, South Building, First Floor, Room 200) weekdays beginning July 30th – August 12th from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Early voting will take place on weekdays beginning August 7th – 12th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. View a list of locations here.
Primary Election Day Voting:
Voters may drop off their vote-by-mail ballot at a Vote Center during polling hours (7:00 am – 8:00 pm).
Voters don't need to wait in line to deposit their vote-by-mail ballot at an Election Day Vote Center. You can view vote centers here.
Vote Centers will be open from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Voters who are eligible to vote in the election may vote at ANY of the Vote Centers on Election Day.
Identification is required Valid Identification
