2019 Municipal Election: Tuesday, November 5th
Vote by Mail
This election will be conducted by vote-by-mail, with all active registered voters in Salt Lake County receiving a ballot in the mail 3 weeks prior to Election Day. These ballots can be returned in the following ways:
Mailed: Ballots must be postmarked by November 4th in order to be counted.
Ballot Drop Box: Drop boxes can be found across Salt Lake County, click here for a full list.
Other Ways to Vote
If you do not return your ballot in time, do not receive a ballot in the mail, or still need to register to vote you can do all of these things at a polling location.
All eligible voters may vote in the County Clerk’s Office (County Government Center, 2001 South State Street, South Building, First Floor, Room 200) weekdays beginning 2 weeks prior to Election Day. Exact times will be updated when available.
Early voting will take place on weekdays beginning the week before Election Day at locations throughout Salt Lake County. Exact times and locations will be updated when available.
Election Day Voting:
Voters may drop off their vote-by-mail ballot at a Vote Center during polling hours (7:00 am – 8:00 pm).
Voters don't need to wait in line to deposit their vote-by-mail ballot at an Election Day Vote Center.
Vote Centers will be open from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Voters who are eligible to vote in the election may vote at ANY of the Vote Centers on Election Day.
