Progressive Caucus Meeting

Please join us for our next Progressive Caucus Meeting on Thursday June 28 at 6:30 p.m. (Location TBD)

We want to give the opportunity to help as many progressive candidates around Salt Lake County as possible. Therefore, we will be having one additional endorsement session at our June meeting. We'll take nominations from the floor with a 2 minute speech for candidates in attendance, and voting will be by placards/raise of hand (instead of printed ballots). Join Scott a for casual fundraiser on Sunday, July 1 from 5 pm - 8 pm in Draper to support his campaign for HD47 West Jordan. Scott is running against Republican incumbent Ken Ivory.

Event Details from Scott:

o It's POT LUCK (I love pot luck!), so please bring one dish and one large beverage that can be shared.

o Requested donation: $20.18 (after all, 2018 is our year, right?). Checks are best, cash okay, PayPal and ActBlue accepted.

o Please RSVP by clicking Going or Interested on the Facebook event to receive the exact address. We need a good count of attendees because planning a party for 20 is different than one for 200!

o My host requests adults anly as her home is not well set up for kids (I will be holding kid-friendly, non-alcohol events later in the season).

Caucus Night

Save the date! The Neighborhood Caucuses are your opportunity to become involved in the grassroots of the Democratic Party, as these Caucuses elect the Delegates to the County and State Democratic Conventions responsible for nominating the Democratic Candidates for County and State offices. Caucus Night also provides an opportunity to hear candidates competing for Party nominations in person. AND, the Caucuses elect the Precinct Officers responsible for helping organize Precincts for Democratic victories in November! The doors will open for check in at 6:30 and the meetings will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.

Municipal Meet the Candidates Night

Join the co-hosting caucuses for a Meet the Candidates Night at Murray Park! This is a great chance to get to know the candidates running in your community, and get involved in a campaign. There will be free hot dogs and hamburgers, so come hungry!

The co-hosting caucuses will also be endorsing, and will provide
further information on their individual methods.

The event will be at Pavilion #1 at Murray Park. The pavilion is near Parkside Elementary on the East side of the park: 495 E 5300 S. There is a suggested donation of $5/person, $20/family to help the caucuses cover costs, though a donation is striclty optional.
