Mark it in your calendars--the Q2 Central Committee meeting of the SLCo Dems will be on June 8, 2019. The agenda will be forthcoming, but there will be a lot of business to go over and introduce your new Executive Committee!
Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. for those attending the Women's Caucus meeting that will precede the Central Committee meeting. The Central Committee meeting will call to order at 10:15 a.m.

On Sunday, June 9, 2019, the Salt Lake County Democratic Party is holding our annual Garden Party!
The Garden Party is one of our most popular annual events. We eat good food, socialize with candidates, community leaders and elected officials, play lawn games, and build our commitment to our communities in Salt Lake County.
The Salt Lake County Democratic Party just elected a new board, Emily Hase (Chair), Tyrell Aagard (First Vice Chair), Wendy Garvin (Second Vice Chair), Tim Barber (Secretary), and William Shiflett (treasurer). We are excited to keep building on our momentum from 2018 and have committed to accomplishing many goals that will benefit our local communities, and Salt Lake County at large. Our May member meeting luncheon will be about how climate change is impacting our community and what we can do about it! Dr. Gillies, of USU, will speak about his groundbreaking research on tracking climate in the Utah. On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, the Salt Lake County Democratic Party is holding our annual fundraiser: Politisauce! We will be holding this event at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (3007 S. 1355 W., West Valley City) at 6:30 p.m.
It is an event that many Salt Lake County Democrats look forward to each year. We eat spaghetti, meet candidates, connect with friends, and recognize some of our most dedicated volunteers with a “Dems Believe” award.
In 2018, the Salt Lake County Democratic Party made its mark on the mid-term elections! We had our best election night in 15 years! Eisenhower Jr. High is located on Redwood road, and has a bus stop located directly west of the school campus. Bus routes serving these stops are numbers 39 and 217.
Route 39 is an east/west route that runs primarily along 3900 South, but makes a jog south along Redwood Road to pass by Eisenhower Jr. High. It connects with the Trax line at the Meadowbrook Station, and offers service every 30 minutes on Saturday mornings and afternoons.
Route 217 is a north/south route that runs primarily along Redwood Road. It connects with the Green Trax line at the Power station and Redwood Junction station. It offers 30 minute service on Saturday mornings and afternoons.

At the Q3 Central Committee Meeting, the Central Committee established for the creation of a sub-committee to revise the Party Constitution. That committee has been working hard on revising and updating the Constitution, and is wrapping up their work. They will be holding a meeting on December 8th to preview the working document and answer questions before it's formally introduced for discussion and amendment at our regularly scheduled Central Committee meeting on Dec. 13.

Ballots are out, and it’s time to Get Out The Vote! Join three Democratic Women’s organizations for a phone bank to remind voters to vote for Democrats and return their ballots ASAP. The Blue Wave and Year of the Woman won’t come to Utah without hard work, and we’re ready to call hundreds of voters in one night!
There will be games, refreshments, and training available to anyone phone banking for the first time. Bring your own cell phone, charger, and laptop if you can!

Election Day ballots are being mailed on October 8, 2018. That's only 17 days! We need all hands on deck the Saturday before ballots are mailed to remind voters to keep and eye out and to vote for Democrats across Salt Lake County!
