Zach Robinson
Zach Robinson is a lifelong Salt Lake County resident, former firefighter and paramedic, and proven public servant running for County Council At-Large. He served two terms on the Sandy City Council, where he earned a reputation for working across differences and delivering results for his community. He is running to bring service-driven, Democratic leadership back to the County Council, focused on lowering the cost of living, protecting our communities' natural spaces, and investing in the programs families rely on, like child care and senior centers. Zach believes in putting people first and tackling tough challenges head-on.

Jared Eborn
Jared Eborn is a Democratic candidate for Salt Lake County Council focused on delivering real results for working families. He believes government should make a difference, not just make a point, by expanding affordable housing, improving air quality, and investing in clean energy.
Jared is committed to strengthening infrastructure, supporting workers and unions, and ensuring county resources are used transparently and responsibly. He brings a community-first mindset, listening to residents and advancing practical policies that improve daily life.

Luke Maynes
Luke lives in Midvale, where he serves as Vice Chair of the Community Council. In his professional life, Luke works as a System Analyst and Project Manager, where he rethinks processes, improves efficiency, and builds new features that have saved millions of dollars each year while improving the customer and employee experience.
Through his time in scouting, on my mission, and at BYU, Luke developed a lifelong commitment to serving my community. Through his business experience, Luke has developed the skills and demonstrated the ability to improve complex systems. Now, Luke wants to put those skills to work to lower costs for Salt Lake County families.

Shawn Robinson
Shawn has lived in Salt Lake City for over 30 years. He graduated from Gonzaga School of Law in 1995 and has worked as a trial lawyer for over three decades. He was a partner at Cook, Skeen and Robinson for 25 years, handling commercial litigation, criminal defense, and other matters.
He served as a public defender for multiple Salt Lake County cities for over 20 years and was a prosecutor and assistant city attorney for Clearfield City. He now serves as an Assistant Attorney General prosecuting white collar crimes.
Shawn holds an AV Preeminent rating and has been named Utah Business Legal Elite. He is running to focus on ethics, accountability, and justice.

Silvia Catten
A Utah native, Silvia has advocated for her community for more than a decade. She served six years on the Millcreek Community Council before being elected to Millcreek’s inaugural City Council in 2016. Silvia serves on the Jordan River Commission as Past Chair, and the SSLV Mosquito Abatement District as current Chair. She is most proud of her work with Millcreek Promise helping to implement the Healthy Millcreek Coalition, aimed at improving health outcomes for residents. She is also on the Millcreek Promise Executive Team and serves as City Council Treasurer. Silvia is a mom and small business owner.

Evan Done
Evan Done is a proud South Salt Lake resident and an unapologetic progressive running for Utah Senate District 13. As USARA’s Advocacy Director, Evan fights tirelessly at the Capitol for our most vulnerable neighbors, championing systemic reform grounded in evidence and compassion. Utah needs leaders who are clear about their values and serious about results. Evan knows what it takes to implement real, lasting change and he's ready to bring bold leadership to the Capitol by continuing to fight for social and environmental justice, equitable healthcare, and a government that works for everyone.

Taylor Khater
Tayler Khater is an experienced educator with over ten years of service in both international and local settings as a teacher and principal. He is committed to community-centered leadership, educational equity, and engagement. Tayler advocates for students facing food insecurity, supporting initiatives that address basic needs as a foundation for success. He also contributes to the Granite Education Foundation, strengthening partnerships that expand opportunities for students.
He currently serves as Granite District’s Parent Advocate, working across 83 schools in the Salt Lake Valley to support students and families, and collaborating with local government to develop programs that meet student needs.

Jeneanne Lock
Originally from O’ahu island, Jeneanne Lock has lived in Utah for 17 years. Since moving to Salt
Lake City, Jeneanne’s civic engagement includes several roles for her neighborhood council:
executive board chair, secretary, events chair and finance chair. She has been a precinct
delegate, chair, and vice chair. One year, she served on the Utah AANHPI Democratic Caucus.
To prepare for public service, Jeneanne has participated in several trainings by four
organizations: Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, Utah Women Run,
Women’s Leadership Institute, and Westside Leadership Institute. Jeneanne’s a candidate for
Utah House of Representatives in District 21.

Michael Finch
Michael and his wife Leisa have lived on the west side of Salt Lake County for 48 years. They have sevenchildren and eighteen grandchildren. Michael owned three successful businesses; all located in WestValley City. Michael and Leisa are in their tenth-year volunteering on the West Valley City WestfestCommittee, and Michael is in his fifth year as a volunteer providing citizen oversite of the West ValleyCity Police Department (PSRB). The rights and needs of our citizens are being stripped away, andMichael will work to keep and restore Dignity, Equality, Respect and Compassion for all.

Drew Howells
Drew Howells is a veteran, policy advocate, and community organizer running for Utah House District 39. After serving in the Air Force and Utah Army National Guard, he helped draft Utah’s Medical Cannabis Act and has spent years advocating for veterans, civil liberties, and transparent government. Drew believes government should focus on solving real problems, strengthening communities, and protecting human dignity. He believes our strength lies in infinite diversity in infinite combinations, and he is running to help build a Utah that is more affordable, more accountable, and prepared for the future—a great big beautiful tomorrow that begins with the choices we make today.

Michael Farrell
I'm Michael Farrell. I'm a tax attorney, a progressive Democrat, and a first-time candidate for Congress. I grew up in a middle class family in California, went to school in Michigan, and worked in DC, Texas, and Switzerland. I met my wife, a native of SLC, and we've put down roots here. I’m running in Utah's First Congressional District because I will be the progressive champion in Congress that CD-1 deserves and because I have proven throughout my entire life that I can get things done.

Ali Cloward
Ali Cloward has spent most of her life in Salt Lake County and earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Utah. She is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and currently serves as a Director at a national consulting firm, where she helps organizations strengthen internal controls, improve transparency, and ensure accountability. Known for her integrity and ability to simplify complex issues, Ali brings broad experience across industries. She is a 40 Under 40 honoree and serves on the Board of Clean Slate Utah. Ali is running for Salt Lake County Auditor to provide independent oversight and promote transparent, accountable government.

Rosie Rivera
Sheriff Rosie Rivera has served for thirty-two years in law enforcement, nine years as Sheriff. She currently oversees 1100 employees and manages the largest jail and court security in the State of Utah. She believes in transparency, accountability and Public Trust. She is leading the way in Law Enforcement. She has received many awards throughout her career including, Lawman of the Year Award, Rosa Parks Award, Distinguished Service Award and the YWCA Outstanding Achievement Award for Public Service. Dr. Jen Plumb
Dr. Jen Plumb is a pediatric emergency physician and Utah State Senator running for reelection to continue serving District 9. First elected in 2022, she serves as Minority Assistant Whip and brings a data-driven, frontline perspective to public policy. Her work focuses on strengthening healthcare access, addressing substance use and overdose, improving child welfare, protecting Utah’s environment, and standing up for targeted and marginalized communities. As co-founder and Medical Director of Utah Naloxone, she has led statewide efforts to prevent overdose deaths. Born and raised in SLC, Dr. Plumb is committed to building healthier, safer communities for ALL Utahns through compassionate, evidence-based leadership.

Doug Owns
Doug Owens was born and raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah and Yale Law School. He and his wife, Cynthia, have four children and live in Millcreek. Doug brings three decades of legal experience resolving complex commercial, environmental, and employment issues.
He is committed to preserving the Great Salt Lake, reducing air pollution, strengthening public education, and keeping public lands accessible. He founded Utah Outdoor Partners, a nonprofit focused on expanding parks, trails, and recreation infrastructure to keep pace with growth and highlight the economic value of public lands.

Jess Birtcher
When he’s not on the campaign trail, Jess embraces the best of our state through hiking, camping, and running. An avid reader and home cook, he values the balance of an active lifestyle and time spent at home working on projects. He recently dug a 10'x15' foot 36" hole for an inground trampoline--he is eager to bounce into the legislature! Jess is ready to bring this homegrown energy to the Capitol to represent every county resident.

Braxten Rutherford
Born and raised in the Sandy/Draper area, 35-year-old Braxten Rutherford currently works as a professional freelance writer and teacher at the Waterford School. He is a former youth counselor for high-risk teens in residential treatment, and a former Hogwarts student (operations managing lead) at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. Last year, he ran as a candidate for Draper city mayor, and received 27% of the vote.

Ashley Anderson
I have been an arts educator and parent in our district for 20 years. I love teaching and I believe strongly in the value of public education, working hard to be a responsive and dedicated representative for Precinct 3. As an artist, I work with students of all ages, including extensive experience teaching students with disabilities. Prior to my school board service, I served in leadership roles on School Community Councils, Parent Teacher Organizations, and on the boards of the Capitol Hill Neighborhood Council, Avenues Baseball, and the Utah Society for Environmental Education, among others. I have long advocated for equitable district and state education policies, supported education unions, supported arts and outdoor learning programs, and continue to collaborate with many amazing families and educators in Precinct 3.

Amanda Finlayson
Amanda has been a proud member of Precinct 4 for nearly 15 years. Her child has thrived in Salt Lake City schools, now attending Bryant Middle School, and Amanda has been actively involved in School Community Councils to support local education. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah, focusing on school-based social work, and brings over 24 years of experience helping students access learning opportunities. Amanda is a licensed educator and state-certified social worker, currently serving as a School Social Worker in Granite School District, dedicated to supporting students and families.
