Representative Elizabeth Weight will give the Legislative Outreach Committee of the SLCo Progressive Caucus a tour of the Capitol. This will focus on how to talk to and lobby your legislator in anticipation of the Special Session to be called later this year.
The Green New Deal will be presented by Russ Fugal, Fee and Dividend carbon tax will be presented by Brandi Williams with Citizens Climate Lobby. Decarbonizing Rocky Mountain Power and 100% Renewable by 2030 via HB411 will be presented by Lindsay Beebe of the Sierra Club. 6:30 social, 7pm Program.

Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops, and must be ready with their Votebuilder login for the training if they wish to work along with the trainer. Anyone may attend, however access to the program is limited to those who hold party leadership positions (precinct officers, HD officers, caucus officers) and candidates and their staffers who have purchased access through the State Party.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, the Salt Lake County Democratic Party is holding our annual fundraiser: Politisauce! We will be holding this event at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (3007 S. 1355 W., West Valley City) at 6:30 p.m.
It is an event that many Salt Lake County Democrats look forward to each year. We eat spaghetti, meet candidates, connect with friends, and recognize some of our most dedicated volunteers with a “Dems Believe” award.

Eisenhower Jr. High is located on Redwood road, and has a bus stop located directly west of the school campus. Bus routes serving these stops are numbers 39 and 217.
Route 39 is an east/west route that runs primarily along 3900 South, but makes a jog south along Redwood Road to pass by Eisenhower Jr. High. It connects with the Trax line at the Meadowbrook Station, and offers service every 30 minutes on Saturday mornings and afternoons.

At the Q3 Central Committee Meeting, the Central Committee established for the creation of a sub-committee to revise the Party Constitution. That committee has been working hard on revising and updating the Constitution, and is wrapping up their work. They will be holding a meeting on December 8th to preview the working document and answer questions before it's formally introduced for discussion and amendment at our regularly scheduled Central Committee meeting on Dec. 13.

Ballots are out, and it’s time to Get Out The Vote! Join three Democratic Women’s organizations for a phone bank to remind voters to vote for Democrats and return their ballots ASAP. The Blue Wave and Year of the Woman won’t come to Utah without hard work, and we’re ready to call hundreds of voters in one night!
There will be games, refreshments, and training available to anyone phone banking for the first time. Bring your own cell phone, charger, and laptop if you can!

Election Day ballots are being mailed on October 8, 2018. That's only 17 days! We need all hands on deck the Saturday before ballots are mailed to remind voters to keep and eye out and to vote for Democrats across Salt Lake County! This is one of the most important Days of Action and we need volunteers for all of our candidates, up and down the ballot!
